OSHO...LIKE THE OCEAN

Today I want to pay tribute to the great spiritual teacher that is Osho; his words make my heart sing; his wisdom picks me up in the challenging moments making me remember the deeper meaning of life. His spiritual vision brings me serenity, growth, hope and infinite joy. Thanks Osho for sharing your wisdom, speaking your truth fearlessly and for changing my life forever. In deep gratitude, NAMASTE

Poem: 'The Invitation' by Oriah Mountain Dreamer

Hello all,
Today I want to share with you this beautiful poem by Oriah Mountain Dreamer. There is so much spiritual energy ans strength within all of us and this poem reminds me of it. The extent to which we pay attention and follow our inner spiritual voice and make it our guidance in our daily actions is what tells how awake we are to our true Self.
Love to all, Shakti xxx

It doesn't interest me what you do for a living. I want to know what you ache for, and if you dare to dream of meeting your heart's longing.
It doesn't interest me how old you are. I want to know if you will risk looking like a fool for love, for your dream, for the adventure of being alive.
It doesn't interest me what planets are squaring your moon. I want to know if you have touched the center of your own sorrow, if you have been opened by life's betrayals or have become shriveled and closed from fear of further pain!I want to know if you can sit with pain, mine or your own, without moving to hide it or fade it, or fix it.
I want to know if you can be with joy, mine or your own, if you can dance with wildness and let the ecstasy fill you to the tips of your fingers and toes without cautioning us to be careful, to be realistic, to remember the limitations of being human.
It doesn't interest me if the story you are telling me is true. I want to know if you can disappoint another to be true to yourself; if you can bear the accusation of betrayal and not betray your own soul; if you can be faithlessand therefore trustworthy.
I want to know if you can see beauty even when it's not pretty, every day,and if you can source your own life from its presence.
The Invitation by Oriah Mountain Dreamer, book cover
I want to know if you can live with failure, yours and mine, and still stand on the edge of the lake and shout to the silver of the full moon, “Yes!”
It doesn't interest me to know where you live or how much money you have. I want to know if you can get up, after the night of grief and despair, weary and bruised to the bone, and do what needs to be done to feed the children.
It doesn't interest me who you know or how you came to be here. I want to know if you will stand in the center of the fire with me and not shrink back.
It doesn't interest me where or what or with whom you have studied. I want to know what sustains you, from the inside, when all else falls away.
I want to know if you can be alone with yourself and if you truly like the company you keep in the empty moments.

Our beautiful planet Earth

I woke up this morning with a deep sense of gratitude for this beautiful planet we are living on. I was watching a video yesterday - which I have inserted here below- and was caught up in deep awe for all the variety of life forms, the beauty of flowers, the magic of water, plants, animals.
In my daily life, like probably many of us, I don't stop thinking of how much beauty we are surronded by, except during my trips to the seaside - a 5 minute walk from my home- where the sparkling blue sea always manages to make my heart sing.
I am very grateful for all these videos on our planet which can be found on u tube, a great reminder of how lucky we are to be living on such a precious planet full of many miracles and beauty.

Have an inspiring day

A RETURN TO SIMPLICITY

Recently I have felt a desire to slow my life down, to look inside of me and search for the things in life that really make me happy. Up to a couple of months ago I was working in an office for 40 hours a week, working in front of a computer screen 8 hours a day; I was a credit controller and I felt I wasn't quite following my heart call...making sure I hit my monthly target didn't give me any 'spiritual reward' and spiritual happiness has always been very important to me.
At no point whilst being a credit controller had I stopped doing the things that truly inspired me: I completed a life coaching course, a counselling course, went to conferences and inspirational workshops during the weekends; I wanted to keep stretching my mind. I have always been a curious person, curious to know everything about Life.
By focusing my intention into looking for ways to enhance my life and be happier I have finally left my full time office job and am now working part-time from home. My new-found happiness certainly makes up for my lower income. I am constantly filled with an unbelievable sense of gratitude for managing my own time, my sense of freedom is limitless...and yes I caught myself thinking 'I wish I had done it before'!
Reality is that money is not the answer, it's a big help but you could be a millionaire and be miserable or have half of your original wage and feel you are living in heaven! trust me.
I have more time for my walks along the beach ( I love the sea!), time for reading, time to spend with my boyfriend, time to be inspired by the wonders of life.

I am reading a great book at the moment which I would like to recommend ' Harmonic Wealth ' by James Arthur Ray.

Love and Blessings to you all
