The snow has arrived a bit early in Brighton this year! It always makes my heart smile and dance and my inner child wants to go outside and play, play and play. There is something magical about snow, and, it's true it disrupts our lives a bit ( or a lot!) but there is a true blessing in it too: we have a chance to stop! Stop our daily routine, feel a bit of discomfort because of it but we also have the possibility of taking a deep breath, relax, let our inner child out....and maybe we can get some insights into our lives and the way we go about it. Maybe by being 'forced' to slow down we get the chance to see our true blessings, appreciate who we are a bit more and see the bigger picture in life.
I got to walk a lot in Brighton these last two days as I haven't felt safe using my car in the snow. I have really enjoyed it, it's good exercise, I have taken lots of good pictures of Brighton, I have practiced 'mindful meditation' while walking ( mindful of not falling!!); you see, all useful things that I have done THANKS to the snow! There is also an ice skating rink near Brighton Pavillion which I look forward to trying out very soon!!!
Warm hugs to all
